Dental Hygienist (Currently Hiring for 2021)

Recent graduates of dental hygiene programs who do not have any private practice experience as a registered dental hygienist are encouraged to apply for the All Smiles Dental Apprenticeship Program. This program was established to help a new graduate make the transition smoothly into private practice at our office and develop a full time working RDH schedule. Experienced R.D.H., candidates would be treated in the same fashion except that their salary would be based on their qualifications, treatment skills and experiencce. The selected individual would be employed as a full-time employee for 32 to 36 hours with full time benefits that include: 16 days paid vacation, health insurance, 401K and bonus program. The individual selected starts with seeing no patients for the first week followed by one patient per day the second week, two patients per day for the third and fourth week. During the free time, the new RDH would assist the current full time RDH's and learn the basic ways we operate and provide treatment in our hygiene department. Following the first month of employment on Monday through Thursday you would at the most see only two patients in the morning and two patients in the afternoon.  Friday mornings you would participate in other office duties, on-site training, and monthly staff meetings. During the fall, winter and spring you would begin to see patient’s one Friday morning per month. If the recent graduate RDH is clinically ready after the third month of employment, we would start to slowly fill your schedule similar to our other two full time RDH's. Experienced R.D.H., candidates would be scheduled on their ability to assimilate into All Smiles Dental Hygiene team. This Apprenticeship program for new graduates is a great way to start a RDH career at A.S.D. with minimal stress for all parties concerned. The starting salary is lower than an experienced RDH but goes up proportionately over time. For example, the starting salary is $25.00/HR and increases to $30.00/HR after six months of employment.  We have a very strong preventive philosophy at A.S.D. and take great pride in the high quality of preventive treatment we provide. We are also looking for someone who has a proven track record of being reliable, energetic, lots of common sense, ability to accept constructive criticism and enjoys making a difference in the lives of others. If you are merely looking for a "job", please don't waste your time or mine. I respect your time and value mine as well. If you fit these criteria and would like to pursue this opportunity, please send your letter and resume by email to peter@allsmilesdentalmaine.com.
